From Ippodo Tea Co. — one of Japan’s most prestigious tea houses, founded in Kyoto in 1717. Shoin-no-mukashi is a premium ceremonial-grade matcha — rich, full-bodied, and deeply satisfying. A lingering umami sweetness, velvety smooth texture, and elegant depth make this a special-occasion matcha worth savouring slowly.
Named by the head of the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony.
